Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye has thanked Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the sports loving people of Ondo State for their unflinching support for Sunshine Stars, saying what God can’t do doesn’t exit.
The Commissioner stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure the State Capital after Sunshine Stars victory over the highly rated Remo Stars in the Match Day-37 of the Nigeria Premier League Football (NPFL).
He said: “We are gradually crossing the rubicon, what God cannot do doesn’t exist, the victory has made us comfortable now in the league…we need more prayers and support from the entire good people of the State.”
“We are currently on 11th position on the log with 49 points, since we started winning both home and away matches in recent time.”
“I was at the team’s training session on Friday before the match, to encouraged them which paid way for our victory.”
According to him, “the players are well motivated, their allowance and bonuses have been paid and all others will also be paid, I’m here this early morning to encourage them to win the match , which they did.”
“I must say that our efforts are yielding results due to the tremendous support received from Mr Governor ,even when it seems all hopes are lost.”
