ODSG OFFERS GRANTS TO BUSINESSES IN ONDO

590 MSE Oprators 590 Medium and Small scale Enterprises (MSE) operators in Ondo State benefited from the OD-CARES grants.

The project coordinator of the OD- CARES Mr. Bayode Olanipekun said this while featuring on a radio programme in Akure.

He explained that the grant was aimed at providing operational support to businesses that were adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

According to him, the number of business owners that benefited grants in 2022 and 2023 were 293 and 297 respectively across the 18 Local Government Area of the State.

He said the grants was the DLI 3.2 programme designed by the Ondo State government, which offered financial grants to distressed MES operators and expanded their access to livelihood support.

Olanipekun further informed that DLI 3.2 deals with Nano, micro and small scale enterprises such as tailors, leather workers, food processors, traders, soap makers and other business owners must reside in Ondo State and pay taxes to the State Government.

Speaking on completion of applications forms on the porter for third tranche, the Project Coonrdinator said the process involved vetting, validation, and disbursement on the designated platform for the programme.

Some beneficiaries across the 18 Local Governments of the State called in to acknowledge the receipt of the grants during the programme.
