As Yemie Fash Holds 3rd Interactive Session, Aiyedatiwa, Adegbomire, Others Call for Synergy among Security Agencies

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state has harped on the importance of inter-agency synergy in combating security challenges in the country, among others.

The governor made the remarks at the 3rd edition of the Yemie Fash Online News Platform Interactive Session and Dinner, held in Akure on Sunday.

Represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, the governor highlighted his administration’s achievements in securing lives and property of the people of the state, calling for improved relationships among the security agencies.

He also affirmed his commitment to continue to prioritize the welfare of every resident of the state, where they live, work and play.

Speaking on the theme of the event, ‘Strengthening Institutions: Securing Nations; The Pillar of Good Governance and Lasting Peace in Ondo State’, the governor restated his commitment to strengthening existing government institutions for sustainable development.

According to him, “At the heart of any thriving democracy lies the strength of its institutions. It is institutions not just individuals that sustain progress, uphold justice, and ensure stability”

The governor thanked the convener of the interactive session, Yemi Fasipe, and his team for their consistent dedication to public discourse, good governance, and civic engagement.

Corroborating the governor, Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Niyi Adegbomire, SAN, charged the people to cooperate with security agencies for effective policing and information sharing.

Other discussants at the event, including the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadesin, Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, NSCDC Commandant, Oluyemi Ibiloye, former member of House of Representatives, Hon. Ade Adeogun, Ondo state commissioner for women affairs and social development, Dr Seun Osemaye, former Special Assistant to Ondo state governor on oil and gas, Balarabe Akinwumi and Amb. Abiola Obanoyen drummed support for increased funding for security agencies.

Convener of the programme, Yemi Fasipe, appreciated the panelists, participants and the entire team for a successful outing, promising to continue to deploy the platform to advocate for a better society.
