AIYEDATIWA ASSURES OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS OF EQUAL RIGHTS & PRIVILEGES IN ONDO.

…. Says there will be no discrimination against any ethnic group.

Various ethnic groups residing in Ondo State have thrown their weight behind the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the coming governorship election in the State.

In separate solidarity visits to the Governor, the Hausa/Fulani, Igbo, Akwa Ibom, Ebira, and Igala communities, pledged their support and loyalty to his administration.

This is just as the Governor has emphasized Nigeria’s collective identity, stressing that there will be no discrimination against any ethnic group within the State.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, while appreciating the peaceful coexistence of the various tribes in the State, said his administration would not relent in providing adequate security and an enabling environment for them to thrive in their respective businesses.

He said; “We are all Nigerians with the freedom to reside anywhere, provided we abide by the law. We are governed by the same set of laws, and discrimination has no place in our society. We stand united as one Nigeria, and every law in Ondo State is designed to enhance the welfare of the people.

“As a government, we are committed to ensuring the security and welfare of our people, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives. Your well-being is our top priority, no matter which tribe you come from.”

Appreciating the endorsement and show of love, the Governor reassured the communities of his unwavering dedication to their interests. He reiterated the importance of unity among all Nigerians, reaffirming Ondo State’s status as a welcoming home for all residents.

The Chairman APC Hausa community in Ondo state, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu, echoed their collective support for the Governor, highlighting the community’s prayers for the governor to lead the State beyond 2025.

Shuaibu, who emphasized the need for greater participation in the state’s affairs by non-indigenes, articulated the community’s desire to align with Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy for the coming election.

He said: “We hereby express our readiness to actively contribute to Aiyedatiwa’s campaign and administration. We affirm our commitment to leveraging our extensive network and influence both within and outside Ondo State for the success of Mr. Governor.”

Representing the Igbos, Akwa Ibom, and the old Eastern zone communities, High Chief Kingsley Chukwuma and Mr. Emmanuel Oho, urged the government to welcome people from all tribes and provide a supportive environment for their businesses to flourish.

Similarly, Mr. Joe Erugha, leader of the Edo tribes, appealed to the Governor to focus on reviving inactive companies in the State to generate job opportunities for the populace.

Speaking on behalf of the Ebira community, Pharmacist Isiah Onimisi stressed their reputation for farming and urged the Governor to give more support to farmers in Ondo State.

In the same vein, Mr Ali Monday, the Igala community spokesperson in Ondo State, affirmed their allegiance to the present administration, expressing a collective agreement that the entire Igala community would support Governor Aiyedatiwa in the coming election.
