The Management team of the State Information Technology Agency, SITA has paid a courtesy call on the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olufemi Agagu FNIVS, as part of the Agency’s strategic plan to woo the public to key into one of it star project, ‘Kaadi Igbeayo’

The team, led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Niran Ikuomola, was in the office of the State Commissioner to seek the understanding of the ministry in its efforts at ensuring proper documentation of residents of the state through a permanent residency card called “Kaadi Igbeayo”.

Dr. Ikuomola said the intention of the agency was to create a database of all residents in the state where all information concerning them can be accessed with just a click adding that, the smart card will equally assist government in planning, formulate policies that will enable her distribute the scares resources equitably.

The Commissioner, Olufemi Agagu, told the team that the ministry will always welcome any positive idea that can bring impactful transformation of the state and its people no matter where they live, work or play.

He said the residency card known as “Kaadi Igbeayo”, was one of the laudable initiatives of the past administration inherited by this administration because of it
multi-dimensional importance.

The Commissioner also harped on the need for SITA to embark on agressive sensitization campaign and advocacy to educate and carry the masses along on the inherent benefits of the residency card saying “the end users must be convinced and key into the Programme since it may not be entirely free.”
