Aiyedatiwa, Mimiko, Others Salute Okeyomi ‘Carry-Go’ on Installation as Baba Aladura Worldwide

Prominent Nigerians, including the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, have extolled the virtues of Prophet Oladipupo Okeyomi, popularly called Carry-Go, on the occasion of his installation as Baba Aladura of the Holy Fountain of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Orimolade World Wide.

At a well-attended ordination ceremony in Ikare Akoko on Sunday, Governor Aiyedatiwa described Okeyomi as a man of good character who has, for long, distinguished himself in moral and spiritual conduct as to be ordained as a priest in the church.

Represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, the governor said “the new Baba Aladura is a man whose life is above reproach, he has good reputation and exercises self-control”

While acknowledging the huge responsibilities attached to the position of Baba Aladura, the governor urged the congregation to continually pray for Okeyomi to enable him attain the divine mandate.

The governor seized the occasion to appreciate the church of God and the people of the community for their overwhelming support in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

He urged them to continue to support his administration with prayers as he assured the people of accelerated development and inclusive governance in the next four years.

On his part, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, reflected on Okeyomi’s public life in relations to governance and community development.

He said, “the new Baba Aladura is a man of good conscience who has always stood for fairness and justice”

In his sermon, Venerable Superior Evangelist Mathew Olatosho Oshofa admonished the new Baba Aladura to be weary of his public actions and utterances to avoid any form of misconceptions.

“As the Baba Aladura, you will need to henceforth be mindful of what to say, what to do and where to go. God will always guide you aright”, the Preacher prayed.
