The lawmaker representing Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo/Odigbo federal constituency of Ondo state, Hon. Festus Adefiranye, has delivered an aggregate of 4km road projects to the people of the constituency.
Commissioning the roads on Tuesday, the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, commended the lawmaker for paying attention to the critical needs of the people.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, said Hon Adefiranye has raised the bar in representative democracy within a short period as a member of the House of Representatives.
According to him, “Without mincing words, I am sure you will agree with me that your representative has brought you nothing but dividends of democracy since being in the green chamber a little over a year”
The governor thanked the lawmaker for complementing the efforts of the state government with respect to infrastructural development.
“The project we are commissioning today is in line with our administration’s vision of making life worth living for our people. We must thank the lawmaker for facilitating these road projects for the good use of the people.
“I want to assure you that the welfare of the people of the state is our priority, as I urge you all to mobilize your people to vote for us in the forthcoming governorship election for accelerated development in our dear state”
On his part, Ondo state APC Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, lauded the federal lawmaker for facilitating quality projects that will positively impact the people of his constituency.
He said Hon. Adefiranye is one of the good ambassadors that the party has produced in the state, imploring the people of the federal constituency to encourage him by voting overwhelmingly for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the November 16 governorship election in the state.
Reeling out his achievements so far, Adefiranye expressed appreciation to the people of the federal constituency for their support, saying he will continue to put them first at all times.
He disclosed that the bills to establish a federal college of nursing and midwifery at Oke-Igbo and the dualization of Ore-Ondo-Akure road are among many other laudable initiatives being facilitated by him.
Speaking on behalf of political leaders and people of the federal constituency, the APC Zonal Chairman in Oke-Igbo, Samson Ojetayo, praised the lawmaker for quality representation, and facilitating the projects being commissioned.
“Our people are happy with you because you have started well. You have proven that you have the capacity to represent us. We want you to continue the good works” Ojetayo extolled the lawmaker.
