Profile of Mrs. Omolola Julianah Fagbemi
Omolola Julianah, Fagbemi was born on the 10th September, 1957 to the
family of Akinboboye at Ondo, in Ondo West Local Government area of
Ondo State.
Omolola attended St. Catherine’s (RCM) Primary School, Ondo;
Independence Grammar School, Ondo; Oyo State College of Education,
Ilesa; University of Benin, Benin – City and the Adekunle Ajasin
University, Akungba-Akoko.
She holds a Bachelor of Education degree in History and has in view a
Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
Omolola was elected twice as Councillor, Ward 4, Ondo West Local
Government, 1997 – 2002.
She held the following political offices: Secretary-General, National
Councillor’s Forum of Nigeria; Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo
State on Poverty Alleviation and Women Empowerment (2007 – 2013).
She also served in many Political Party positions, such as: the
Federal Constituency Director in-charge of Ondo East/West Local
Government Area’s (Aketi Campaign Organization in 2012); Member,
Finance Committee, Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ondo Local
Government; member, HOPE ’93 Campaign Organization, Ondo Local
Government Area; Secretary, Democratic Party of Nigeria (DPN), Ondo
West Local Government Area; member Women Mobilization Sub-Committee of All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee (2015); and the Deputy Director, Women Mobilization Directorate of Aketi Campaign Platform in 2016.
Lola has attended numerous seminars, conferences and workshops primary among which are: National Seminar on the Review of 1999 Constitution in Kano in 2000.
Lola is happily married. She enjoys reading and singing.
