The Ondo State government sympathies with the immediate family and the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) over the sudden death of Abiodun Fabunmi Okemesi, a prominent broadcaster and member of the association in Ondo State. The state government expresses the belief that though Abiodun Fabunmi died untimely, his contributions to the development of broadcasting and entertainment industry in Nigeria will never be forgotten. The government says with the various programmes Abiodun fabunmi has presented or anchored on Radio, the deceased has mended many lives and provided succour for others. The government believes that, though death may have hit the immediate family of Fabunmi and FIBAN the hardest way, but the deceased’s contributions and works have taken the shape of immortality which are not perishable. The state government, however, asks the members of FIBAN and other Nigerians to continue to serve humanity as Fabunmi did while on earth.
